A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is expanding its project delivery team across the Anglian Water framework. With a strong order book and a growing portfolio of water and wastewater projects, they are looking to appoint experienced Project Managers to support schemes across multiple locations throughout the region.As opportunities exist across the framework, applications are welcomed from candidates located anywhere within the Anglian Water area who are seeking long-term contract opportunities.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, successful and profitable delivery of water infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading project teams to deliver works safely, on time and within budget
- Managing site delivery teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Overseeing project programmes, costs and resource requirements
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
- Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Monitoring project performance and reporting progress to senior management
- Managing contractual obligations and project documentation
- Resolving technical and operational issues throughout the project life cycle
- Driving programme performance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting commercial teams with forecasting, change management and risk mitigation
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Previous experience working as a Project Manager for a principal contractor
- Strong understanding of civil engineering and utility construction projects
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
- SMSTS certification
- CSCS card
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Strong commercial and programme management skills
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Temporary Works awareness
- Experience working on major water frameworks
- Appointed Person or relevant industry qualifications
