The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering a comprehensive gas repair, maintenance, and installation service across a range of occupied and void domestic properties.Working from electronically issued work orders, you'll undertake everything from boiler replacements and heating system upgrades to servicing, fault-finding, and general plumbing repairs, ensuring customers receive a first-class service every time.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out gas servicing, maintenance, and installation work.
• Completing boiler replacements and heating system upgrades.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on domestic heating systems.
• Undertaking general plumbing repairs where required.
• Ensuring all work complies with current Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations.
• Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
• Managing van stock and materials to maximise first-time fix rates.
• Maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation using handheld technology.
• Supporting quality inspections, audits, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

• Following a structured diary of servicing, maintenance, and installation appointments.
• Travelling between jobs in your fully equipped company van.
• Working independently while being supported by a wider team of skilled trades professionals.
• Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Completing work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What We're Looking ForEssential

• ACS Gas Qualifications.
• Current Gas Safe Registration.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proven experience as a Gas Engineer within domestic properties or social housing.
• Strong knowledge of gas regulations, health and safety legislation, and safe systems of work.
• Must be based within the PE postcode area due to the location of the housing stock.
