The role
An established Higher Education organisation in Oxford are looking for a Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This person will be responsible for the administration and smooth running of the student sales ledger function.
Responsibilities
- Checking and posting all student charges
- Being responsible for student tuition fees, accommodation costs, and associated charges
- Dealing with day-to-day queries from students
- Respond quickly to emails and support students
- Maintain accurate records using accounting software
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of control accounts
- Termly reconciliation of tuition fees
- Assisting on ongoing development of internal documentation, records, and systems
- Assisting with preparations for audit
- Cover for payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, should the need arise
The ideal candidate
- Previous accounting experience and financial administration
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- Good level of IT skills including Microsoft Excel
- A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
