Senior / Electrical Building Services Engineer in Nottingham

Working on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning healthcare, commercial, industrial, education and data centre sectors, they are committed to shaping a more sustainable future through technical excellence and collaborative design.Due to continued growth across the Midlands, they are seeking an Electrical Building Services Engineer or Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their established team in either Birmingham or Nottingham.Your new role
As part of a multidisciplinary building services team, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions from concept through to completion.You will be involved in a wide range of technically challenging projects, working closely with clients, architects, mechanical engineers and wider project teams to develop sustainable and innovative designs.Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing electrical building services systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and communications systems.
• Producing technical calculations, specifications and reports.
• Working within BIM environments using Revit and other digital design tools.
• Supporting project delivery from feasibility studies through to construction.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Attending client and design team meetings.
• Contributing towards the development of sustainable and low-carbon engineering solutions.
• Supporting the continuous improvement of digital engineering and design processes.
• For senior-level candidates, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and supporting project management activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within a building services consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services design principles.
• Experience designing electrical systems such as lighting, power, fire alarms and communications infrastructure.
• Familiarity with BIM environments and software such as Revit.
• Working knowledge of electrical design software including Amtech, Dialux or Relux.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered Engineer status, or working towards Chartership through CIBSE or IET, would be advantageous.
• Senior applicants should demonstrate experience leading projects, managing clients and mentoring other engineers.
