We are currently seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a busy social housing maintenance programme across Nottinghamshire Working on behalf of a reputable public sector organisation, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs and refurbishment works within residential properties.

Your new role

As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works within vacant social housing properties. You will be expected to work independently, managing your own workload and ensuring properties are completed to a high standard within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out repairs and refurbishment works within void properties.
  • Completing a range of trade tasks including: Basic carpentry, Plumbing repairs, Plastering and patch repairs, Painting and decorating, General maintenance works
  • Identifying additional repairs required within properties.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Preparing properties for re-letting within target deadlines.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting completed works.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within social housing repairs, maintenance or void property refurbishment is essential.
  • Ideally qualified in a recognised trade (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Strong multi-trade background with the ability to turn your hand to a variety of repairs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Own van and tools are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

What you'll get in return

Up to £27.00 per hour 37 hours per week Mileage paid at 55p per mile for business use (excluding normal commuting) Ongoing temporary contract with potential for extension or permanent employment Immediate start available Long-term work with a respected social housing provider
