Your New Role
We are recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join a busy and growing organisation supporting international projects and offshore operations. This is a varied position that would suit an organised and proactive individual with experience in logistics, freight, travel coordination or project support.You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of operations by coordinating freight movements, personnel mobilisation, project documentation and day-to-day operational administration.
Key Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)
- Coordinate domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and customs compliance.
- Manage personnel mobilisation, including travel bookings, accommodation, visas and certification requirements.
- Prepare and maintain operational, shipping and compliance documentation.
- Support project planning, resource scheduling and equipment logistics.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, freight partners and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor logistics costs, supplier invoices and support procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate databases, reports and tracking systems.
- Provide administrative support to operational teams and contribute to process improvements.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential
- Previous experience in operations, logistics, freight forwarding, project support or a similar coordination role.
- Strong understanding of international freight and shipping processes.
- Experience managing import/export documentation and customs requirements.
- Experience coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience within offshore renewables, marine, oil & gas or related sectors.
- Understanding of offshore personnel certification requirements.
- Experience with visa applications and international travel compliance.
- Familiarity with freight management systems or ERP platforms.
- Knowledge of UK and international customs procedures.
