The
Role: As a Teacher of Food Technology, you will
- Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons that inspire a love of food, nutrition, and healthy living.
- Develop students' culinary skills, food preparation techniques, and understanding of nutrition and food science.
- Create a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data effectively to support attainment and achievement.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Food Technology schemes of work and curriculum resources.
- Support enrichment activities, open evenings, and wider departmental initiatives.
- Play an active role in the pastoral and academic development of students.
The Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will have
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting up to GCSE Level.
- Strong practical food preparation and kitchen management skills.
- Excellent classroom management abilities.
