Your new role

Reporting into the senior operations team, you will lead a leadership structure of Supervisors and Team Leaders, with overall responsibility for approximately 70 colleagues across a fast-paced, multi-shift distribution operation.

You will be accountable for operational performance across productivity, service, quality, safety and colleague engagement, whilst driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.

This is a highly visible role suited to a strong people leader who enjoys developing teams, improving capability and delivering operational results through others.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders and operational colleagues.
• Drive performance across productivity, service, quality and safety KPIs.
• Create a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Develop leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
• Manage employee relations matters including attendance, conduct and performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational standards.
• Act as the senior operational lead in the absence of the senior manager.
• What you'll need to succeed

We are interested in speaking with experienced Distribution Managers, Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers and Fulfilment Managers who can demonstrate:

• Strong leadership experience within a warehouse, logistics, fulfilment or distribution environment.
• Experience managing large teams through Supervisors and Team Leaders.
• A proven track record of improving operational performance and employee engagement.
• Strong KPI management and performance improvement experience.
• Experience coaching and developing leaders and frontline teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on leadership style and passion for continuous improvement.
• Lean or Continuous Improvement experience would be advantageous.
