Hays Education are recruiting for a SEN Learning Mentor to work within a specialist SEND resource base attached to a mainstream secondary school. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, communication difficulties and EHCPs, helping them to engage with education, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and associated learning needs
- Build positive relationships and act as a trusted adult
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience and engagement
- Help students overcome barriers to learning
- Support behaviour management strategies and intervention programmes
- Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs, pastoral teams and external agencies
- Encourage independence, confidence and social development
