Hays Education is recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join an excellent secondary school in South Manchester, starting in November 2026.
This is a long-term position, initially running until Christmas, and would be an excellent opportunity for a Maths teacher looking to join a school with a strong reputation for behaviour and a positive school culture.Feedback from staff who have worked at the school has been extremely positive, particularly around the supportive nature of colleagues and leadership and the welcoming environment across the school.
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Supporting pupils of varying abilities to make progress
Maintaining the school's high expectations around behaviour and learning
Working collaboratively with an experienced and supportive Maths department
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A positive and professional approach
ECTs and experienced Maths teachers are both encouraged to apply
What you'll get in return
