We are currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused Transport Customer Service Coordinator to join a busy logistics operation. This role is responsible for ensuring customers receive an excellent service experience by acting as the key point of contact for all transport-related enquiries, delivery updates, and issue resolution.Working closely with transport planners, drivers, warehouses, and customers, you will play a vital role in maintaining efficient operations and ensuring service levels are consistently achieved.
Your new role
- Managing customer enquiries via telephone, email, and live systems.
- Providing delivery and collection updates to customers.
- Liaising with drivers, transport planners and warehouse teams to ensure timely service delivery.
- Investigating and resolving customer queries, delivery discrepancies and service issues.
- Monitoring transport activity and proactively communicating delays or changes.
- Processing orders, bookings and transport-related documentation.
- Updating internal systems with accurate customer and transport information.
- Building strong relationships with customers and maintaining high service standards.
- Supporting transport operations with administrative duties and reporting.
- Escalating operational issues where appropriate and assisting with solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within a Customer Service, Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
- Ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
