An established and highly respected property consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its growing team in Nottingham. Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, education, healthcare and public-sector assets, this organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality surveying and project services throughout the Midlands.
Your new role
As a Building Surveyor, you will be involved in a varied workload across professional and project-based surveying services, including:
Conducting building surveys and defect diagnosis
Preparing schedules of condition and dilapidation reports
Planned preventative maintenance programmes
Contract administration and project delivery
Producing specifications, tender documentation and reports
Providing technical advice to a broad range of clients
Supporting refurbishment and improvement projects from inception through to completion
This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to develop their technical expertise while gaining exposure to a wide range of property types and clients.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
Experience within a Building Surveyor role, either consultancy or client side
Good knowledge of building pathology and construction principles
Strong report-writing and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Ambition to develop professionally, with support available towards chartership if required
