Your new role involves leading the logistics function, managing transport, inventory and export activities whilst developing and motivating a team of 5. You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring efficient day-to-day logistics operations
  • Managing relationships with freight and transport providers
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Overseeing import and export compliance
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department

You will play a key role in supporting business objectives, improving operational performance and ensuring products are delivered to customers safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a Logistics, Supply Chain or Transport Management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, inventory management and transport processes
  • Experience managing imports, exports and customs requirements
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage teams
  • Previous experience of using ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience driving operational improvements and change initiatives
  • Experience within fast-paced manufacturing or engineering sectors would be advantageous
