Your new role involves leading the logistics function, managing transport, inventory and export activities whilst developing and motivating a team of 5. You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring efficient day-to-day logistics operations
- Managing relationships with freight and transport providers
- Maintaining inventory accuracy
- Overseeing import and export compliance
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department
You will play a key role in supporting business objectives, improving operational performance and ensuring products are delivered to customers safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a Logistics, Supply Chain or Transport Management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, inventory management and transport processes
- Experience managing imports, exports and customs requirements
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage teams
- Previous experience of using ERP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Experience driving operational improvements and change initiatives
- Experience within fast-paced manufacturing or engineering sectors would be advantageous
