An established and growing specialist insurance organisation is seeking a Syndicate Accountant to join its London-based finance team.

Your new role
Reporting into the finance leadership team, you will take ownership of key Lloyd's and regulatory reporting activities while supporting the continued enhancement of finance processes and controls.
Key responsibilities will include
- Preparation and submission of Lloyd's and regulatory returns, including QMA Delta, Solvency UK, US Situs and CAD Situs reporting.
- Developing a detailed understanding of financial data flows and the population of the general ledger.
- Ownership of cash, overseas deposit and Lloyd's settlement accounting journals.
- Supporting improvements to reporting quality, efficiency and automation through effective use of systems and technology.
- Production of annual syndicate reporting and statutory finance deliverables.
- Preparation and review of Lloyd's tax returns and associated compliance requirements.
- Supporting ad hoc finance projects and wider business initiatives as required.

- Significant Lloyd's market accounting and regulatory reporting experience.
- Strong technical insurance accounting knowledge.
- Proven experience preparing Lloyd's regulatory returns.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and challenge existing practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work accurately to demanding deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills.
