Your new job as a Surety & Trade Credit Broker will be working for a specialist highly respected Lloyd's Insurance Broker with offices based around the UK including the City, NW London and the Southeast, who provide unparalleled services to meet client demands and needs. They have more than 100 staff across the offices and are looking to expand that number further. Your new role
You will play a key role in advising and placing Surety Bonds and Trade Credit solutions, supporting existing relationships while also driving new business opportunities. Working closely with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing placements from initial enquiry through to completion, negotiating terms with insurers and delivering a first-class client experience.Key responsibilities include:
- Placing and servicing a range of Surety Bond and Trade Credit business from inception to completion
- Preparing and presenting underwriting submissions to the market.
- Negotiating terms and securing competitive solutions for clients.
- Reviewing and interpreting financial information and company accounts.
- Managing insurer and underwriter relationships.
- Supporting the wider business with technical expertise and market knowledge.
- Developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Attending client meetings and networking events to generate revenue growth.
- Seek underwriter approval on bonds where lines of authority are not in place. And keep clients advised of underwriting requirements
- Issue invoices where appropriate for new and extended bonds. Obtain release documentation as appropriate. Keep client facility updated.
- Work closely with the Construction team
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience within Surety, Trade Credit as a Broker or Account Executive with ideally exposure to complex placements (preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of trade credit products and market dynamics.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Cert CII or Dip CII qualifications would be advantageous.
