On behalf of our client, I'm looking for an experienced Senior Operational Resilience Consulting Manager to join a growing resilience and crisis management practice supporting some of the UK's largest and most complex Financial Services organisations. This role will span cyber, technology, third party, cloud and digital resilience and will require practical experience of business continuity planning, disaster recovery and risk planning across the aforementioned technology and cyber disciplines. The successful candidate will lead large-scale resilience programmes, develop client relationships, drive business growth and support organisations in preparing for and responding to major disruptive events.

What this role involves:

  • Leading operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management engagements for large organisations
  • Developing and growing senior client relationships across a portfolio of accounts
  • Supporting business development activity and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Managing complex projects, including budgets, delivery teams and client governance requirements
  • Advising senior leaders on resilience strategies, frameworks and industry best practice
  • Supporting the development of innovative resilience services and solutions
  • Designing and implementing resilience transformation programmes
  • Developing contingency plans for significant business disruption scenarios
  • Delivering resilience testing, simulations, exercises and scenario planning activities
  • Supporting major organisational change programmes and operational readiness initiatives
  • Assisting organisations during live incidents and conducting post-incident reviews

What I'm looking for:

  • Extensive experience in operational resilience, cyber resilience, business continuity, crisis management or enterprise risk management
  • Strong knowledge of resilience regulations, industry standards and regulatory expectations within Financial Services e.g. SS1/21, SS2/21, DORA, ISO22301, ISO27001, NIST etc.
  • Experience working within large and complex regulated organisations
  • Expertise across areas such as technology resilience, third-party resilience, cloud resilience, disaster recovery, operational risk or enterprise risk management
  • A proven track record of developing client relationships and delivering commercial growth
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, executives and boards
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex resilience concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience designing and leading resilience exercises, simulations and testing programmes
  • Ability to assess complex operating models, identify critical dependencies and evaluate organisational vulnerabilities
  • Experience embedding resilience frameworks, controls and metrics into business processes and reporting structures
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments
  • Willingness to travel in line with client requirements, including occasional international travel
