Hays Education is seeking passionate and adaptable Science Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in North London.
Due to exceptionally high demand for core subject specialists, we are looking to register qualified Science teachers who are available for daily supply, short-term cover and long-term assignments.
Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science, we have opportunities available across a range of schools to suit your experience and availability.
Your new role
As a Supply Science Teacher, you will
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some opportunities at Key Stage 5.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Adapt confidently to different schools and classroom settings.
- Support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills and academic confidence.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Science within UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
