Are you an experienced Payroll Manager available immediately and looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a highly capable Payroll Manager to join an organisation on a temporary basis to take full ownership of the payroll function. This is a standalone role, ideal for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll independently and ensuring an accurate and timely payroll service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete end-to-end payroll process for all employees.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time in line with statutory requirements.
- Calculate and process salaries, overtime, deductions, statutory payments and pensions.
- Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure employee data is accurate and up to date.
- Administer pension contributions and liaise with pension providers.
- Submit RTI reports and ensure compliance with HMRC legislation.
- Reconcile payroll reports and support month-end processes.
- Manage year-end payroll activities including P60s and statutory returns.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and process improvements.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Professional in a sole capacity.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and pensions.
- Experience managing payroll autonomously with minimal supervision.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident using payroll systems and Excel - vlookups and pivot tables.
- Available to start immediately
