A welcoming and supportive SEN Primary School in London is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career therapist looking to develop their skills within a specialist educational setting.
The Role
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, Speech & Language difficulties, sensory processing needs, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
- Develop and implement individual therapy programmes to support pupils' independence, participation, and wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide advice and training to school staff on therapeutic strategies and classroom adaptations.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and EHCP contributions in line with professional standards.
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC.
- Band 5 Occupational Therapist or newly qualified practitioner seeking experience in a specialist setting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
