Hays Education is currently seeking dedicated and adaptable English Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in North London.
Due to exceptionally high demand from our partner schools, we are looking to register qualified English specialists who are available for daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term assignments.
Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for flexibility or an ECT seeking to gain experience in different school settings, we have a range of opportunities available to suit your needs.
Your new role
As a Supply English Teacher, you will
- Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some opportunities at Key Stage 5.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments.
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning.
- Inspire students to develop their literacy, reading and writing skills.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within UK secondary schools.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible and professional approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
