An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join a successful and growing manufacturing business based in East Kilbride.
Operating across the UK and international markets, the company has built a strong reputation within its sector and is entering an important phase of continued growth and development.
This is a pivotal leadership role, offering direct Board exposure and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making while maintaining hands-on involvement across the finance function.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Board, you will take full responsibility for the financial management of the business.
Leading a finance team of four, you will provide commercial insight, ensure robust financial controls, oversee compliance and reporting requirements, and support the wider leadership team in delivering sustainable growth.
This role will suit a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working within an SME environment and is comfortable balancing strategic responsibilities with operational involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
- Produce monthly management accounts and Board reporting packs.
- Lead the annual statutory accounts process and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Oversee VAT returns, corporation tax requirements, and wider tax compliance.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance, and reporting procedures
- Cashflow & Treasury Management
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
- Manage banking relationships and treasury activities.
- Authorise company payments, including domestic and international transactions.
- Ensure effective working capital management and cash optimisation.
- Commercial & Operational Finance
- Review and approve pricing proposals for new business opportunities.
- Support the sales function through commercial analysis and profitability reporting.
