Your New Company A well-established education organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their finance team on a short-term basis. This organisation plays a vital role within its local community and is looking for a proactive finance professional to provide immediate support during a busy period. Your New Role This is a fully on-site Finance Officer position on an initial 6-8 week temporary contract, requiring someone who can hit the ground running and support the smooth running of the finance function. The role will have a strong focus on purchase ledger activities alongside wider transactional finance duties, including: Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently. Matching invoices to purchase orders and investigating discrepancies. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving outstanding queries. Preparing supplier payment runs in line with agreed schedules. Maintaining supplier records and creditor accounts. Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes. Assisting with bank and control account reconciliations. Supporting financial reporting and management information preparation. Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding finance queries.
