  • Identify recurring themes and opportunities to improve HR guidance, processes, FAQs and system automation.
  • Support employee relations matters including absence management, performance issues, disciplinary matters and grievances, escalating where appropriate.

  • Produce monthly HR reports and management information, using Excel to analyse and reconcile data.
  • Assist with the development and review of HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Support HR projects, process improvements and broader people initiatives.
  • Ensure HR activities remain compliant with employment legislation and internal policies.

About You

  • Previous HR generalist experience.
  • A sound understanding of UK employment law and its practical application.
  • Experience advising managers and employees on day-to-day employee relations matters.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.

  • Experience working with HR systems and strong IT skills, including Excel.
  • The ability to manage a busy shared inbox and respond to queries with professionalism, accuracy and discretion.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently, make sound decisions and recognise when escalation is required.
  • A flexible mindset and the ability to adapt in a changing environment.

A CIPD qualification, or equivalent, would be advantageous.
