I'm recruiting for a HSE Coordinator to join a growing specialist engineering business operating across technically demanding construction and engineering projects throughout the UK.This is a great opportunity for someone with around 1-3 years' experience in Health & Safety who already has an understanding of construction H&S and now wants to build their career within a business where they'll get plenty of practical, site-based exposure.
Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.
The RoleUnlike a more senior HSE Business Partner position, this role is very much hands-on and site focused. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out regular site inspections and H&S monitoring
- Identifying hazards, unsafe practices and areas for improvement
- Supporting site teams with day-to-day Health & Safety queries
- Reviewing and supporting the implementation of RAMS
- Supporting compliance with CDM requirements
- Assisting with accident and incident investigations
- Helping monitor subcontractor H&S performance
- Supporting site inductions, toolbox talks and safety initiatives
- Attending site and pre-start meetings where required
- Helping promote a positive Health & Safety culture across projects
- Feeding findings and recommendations back to the wider HSE team
The position will involve regular travel to sites, so you need to be comfortable being out on the road and working directly with site teams rather than being predominantly office based.

- Some exposure to construction, engineering, M&E or another project-led environment
- An understanding of construction Health & Safety and CDM

- An understanding of RAMS and site-based risk management
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification, ideally NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- A proactive personality and confidence communicating with people on site
