Primary Teacher - SEMH ProvisionDudleyFull-Time | Long-Term OpportunityAre you a Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of children with social, emotional and mental health needs?A specialist provision in Dudley is seeking a dedicated and resilient teacher to work with a small group of pupils who require a highly nurturing, structured and personalised approach to learning.This class consists of just four pupils, all of whom present with challenging behaviours and receive either 1:1 or 2:1 support. As a result, the successful teacher will be responsible not only for delivering high-quality lessons but also for leading and organising a sizeable team of support staff within the classroom.The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Complete planning, assessments and progress monitoring.
- Upload and maintain pupil assessment records.
- Lead, coordinate and direct a team of teaching assistants and support staff.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
- Create a calm, consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with school leaders and families to support pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Ideally primary trained.
- Experience working with SEMH, SEND, alternative provisions or pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Confident leading a team of support staff.
- Organised, resilient and proactive.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
