Hays are delighted toSupport a respected organisation in the recruitment of an AssistantFinance Officer to join their finance team on an initial 6-month temporaryContract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. This is an excellentopportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a varied rolewithin a supportive environment, contributing to the day-to-day operations of abusy finance function.
Your new role
Reporting into theFinance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Daily posting and processing of invoices
- Managing payment runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Journal postings
- Handling supplier queries
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Supporting debtors and creditors processes
- Assisting with general finance administration and reporting requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful inthis role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a finance or accounts function
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
- Experience processing journals, accruals and prepayments
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience within a Housing Association environment would be advantageous, but is not essential
