Your new company Hays are partnered exclusively with an established biotech business on the outskirts of Cambridge and looking to recruit a Finance Manager to a newly created role within the business. This company has developed their offering significantly in recent years and, as such, is looking to expand their finance team. Your new role This role will support the CFO in supporting the financial management of the business through the next stage in their growth and to scale their operations. Specifically, your responsibilities will be to: Work closely with the CFO to execute the financial strategy of the business. Prepare and deliver management and statutory accounting information, working alongside external accountants Produce rolling forecasts for leadership Produce budgets for various divisions and projects Business partner with Project Management and R D Team to ensure financial plans accurately reflect the budgets Work in tandem with the external Accounting team to ensure compliance with tax regulations, including timely reclaiming of R D tax credits and fulfilment of VAT and PAYE / NI obligations. Oversee the transactional finance function currently undertaken by the external accountants and troubleshoot any queries Assist in the compilation of ad hoc reports to be provided to investors
