Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking for your next opportunity with a successful and growing business in Bristol?We're recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a friendly and supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchase ledger or accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.The RoleAs Finance Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining excellent relationships both internally and externally.
- Processing supplier invoices on a daily basis
- Matching invoices against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies
- Posting purchase ledger transactions and carrying out reconciliations
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Preparing and issuing supplier remittances
- Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining accurate records
- Managing supplier queries and liaising with internal teams to resolve issues
- Processing company credit card statements
- Producing reports to support payment runs
- Assisting with month-end accounts payable activities
- Maintaining documentation for approval and audit purposes
- Supporting annual audit requirements
- Providing administrative support to the Financial Controller and wider finance team
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within a Finance Administrator, Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger position
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
