Ground Handler / Ramp Agent

We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Ground Handler / Ramp Agent to join a busy airport operations team, providing exceptional support to aircraft, crew, and passengers in a fast-paced airside environment.

This is based at Farnborough Airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marshal arriving aircraft and support aircraft movements, including pushback and towing operations.
  • Load and unload baggage, cargo, and oversized items safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct aircraft refuelling, water servicing, toilet servicing, and de-icing activities.
  • Operate and carry out inspections of Ground Service Equipment (GSE).
  • Assist passengers, crew, and customer service teams where required, including special assistance support.
  • Communicate effectively via radio, telecommunications, and electronic reporting systems.
  • Support airside operations during adverse weather conditions and emergency situations.
  • Adhere to all aviation, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain operational standards.

Requirements Essential

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full 5-year employment and/or education history.
  • Ability to obtain required airport security clearance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexible approach to shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physically capable of lifting baggage and equipment in excess of 20kg.
  • Ability to obtain an Airside Driving Permit.
  • Strong communication, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Desirable

  • Previous ground handling, ramp, or aviation experience.
  • Knowledge of airside safety procedures.
  • Experience using radio communications.
  • LGV licence or experience operating large vehicles.
