Due to continued growth, the employment team is looking to appoint an Associate Solicitor to support an expanding respondent-focused practice.
Your new role
You will join a collaborative and nationally recognised employment team, acting exclusively for employers on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Your caseload will include
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to final hearing.
- Advising employers on disciplinary, grievance and performance management matters.
- Supporting clients with restructures, redundancies and TUPE matters.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
- Providing practical day-to-day HR and employment law advice.
- Assisting with business development activities and strengthening existing client relationships.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to larger national organisations across a variety of industry sectors.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or Chartered Legal Executive with 2-6 years' PQE.
- Strong respondent employment law experience gained within private practice.
- Experience managing Employment Tribunal matters on behalf of employers.
- Excellent technical employment law knowledge.
- Strong commercial awareness and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
