An established and growing construction contractor is looking to appoint a Site Engineer to join its team, working across a variety of projects throughout North West Wales.This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer who wants to work with a well-established regional business offering a strong pipeline of work closer to home, with projects predominantly across Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula
The Role
Working as part of the site delivery team, you'll provide engineering and technical support across a range of construction and civil engineering projects.Projects will vary in nature and complexity, giving you the opportunity to work across a diverse regional workload rather than being tied to one particular type of scheme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting out and surveying works on site
- Establishing and maintaining accurate site control
- Checking drawings, specifications and technical information
- Liaising closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Carrying out quality checks and maintaining appropriate records
- Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site
- Monitoring subcontractor works and ensuring accuracy of construction
- Supporting site teams with planning and coordination of works
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety and quality are maintained
You'll have:
- Previous setting-out and site engineering experience
- Experience using relevant surveying and setting-out equipment
- Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively with site management and subcontractors
- A practical, hands-on approach to delivering projects
- Full UK driving licence
