Hays Education are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in the Chorley area to recruit a compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development, helping them to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, providing both academic and pastoral support to ensure every child can succeed.
Your New RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. Working alongside the class teacher, you will assist with delivering engaging lessons, supporting classroom activities and helping pupils to remain focused and motivated in their learning.You may work with individual pupils, small groups or provide whole-class support. The successful candidate will demonstrate a compassionate and nurturing approach, building positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and a love of learning.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, patient and nurturing nature, with a genuine passion for supporting children
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confidence supporting children with a range of learning abilities and needs
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive, flexible and resilient approach to supporting teaching and learning
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing and positive outcomes for all pupils
