Hays Education are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator/Receptionist to join a busy SEN school in Chester on a temporary basis until Christmas.
This is a fast-paced front-of-house role and requires someone with previous school administration experience who can quickly integrate into the team and confidently manage a busy reception environment from day one.
Your new role
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and pupils
- Managing a busy reception desk and handling telephone enquiries
- Providing administrative support to the wider school office
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and updating school databases
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assisting with attendance, admissions and general administrative duties as required
- Supporting safeguarding procedures and visitor sign-in processes
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working within a school office environment is essential
- Confident working within a busy reception setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
- Knowledge of Arbor would be highly advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
