Your new company Our client is a well-established and growing contractor delivering a diverse range of civil engineering and construction projects across the North West and Cumbria.

Operating across multiple sectors, the business undertakes infrastructure, utilities, refurbishment and building projects, with a strong reputation for quality, repeat business and long-term client relationships.

Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their established team.

Your new role As Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders across a varied portfolio of civil engineering and building projects.

Working closely with the Operations Director, Quantity Surveyor and Project Managers, you will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, producing accurate cost estimates and supporting the successful delivery of future projects.

Projects range from £250k through to £2m and include

  • Civil engineering works
  • Infrastructure schemes
  • Utilities and substation projects
  • Drainage and pipe-laying works
  • Concrete and groundworks packages
  • Commercial and office refurbishments
  • Educational sector projects
  • General building works

This is a permanent, office-based position where you will become an integral part of a close-knit and collaborative team.

  • What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience as an Estimator within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
  • The ability to price both civil engineering and building projects
  • Experience producing accurate cost plans and tender submissions
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams

Experience within utilities, substations, infrastructure or refurbishment projects would be advantageous.
