Your new company
You will be joining a highly respected and innovative organisation within the creative and media sector, renowned for delivering world-class productions and operating within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Due to continued growth and evolving finance requirements, the business is looking to appoint a Finance Officer on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for extension or a longer-term opportunity for the right individual.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you'll play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy finance function.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function and become a key member of the finance team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking responsibility, solving problems independently and ensuring financial processes operate efficiently within a busy and evolving organisation.
Your responsibilities will include
- Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing purchase orders and approval workflows
- Monitoring invoice queues and payment allocations
- Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Resolving supplier and stakeholder queries
- Chasing internal stakeholders for invoice approvals and supporting documentation
- Maintaining accurate financial records and controls
- Supporting month-end activities including reconciliations and journal preparation
- Assisting with wider finance projects and process improvements
- Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the business
- What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience within an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Officer position
- Previous responsibility for managing supplier invoice workflows from start to finish
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and resolving queries
- Confident communication skills with the ability to challenge where required
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
