We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join one of our established clients, working across a variety of commercial properties.This is predominantly a reactive maintenance role, attending breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to commercial heating systems. You'll also support planned servicing, preventative maintenance and project works when required.
The Role
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your duties will include:
Attending reactive breakdowns and commercial heating faults
Fault finding, diagnosing issues and completing repairs
Servicing and maintaining commercial gas, oil and LPG heating systems
Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
Working on commercial boilers, burners, pumps, controls and associated plant
Completing minor plumbing and mechanical maintenance
Installation, replacement and commissioning of heating equipment when required
Carrying out gas safety checks and testing
Identifying defective or unsafe equipment and recommending remedial works
Supporting installation and project works where required
Completing job sheets, certificates, reports and electronic records
Working across occupied and unoccupied properties
Participating in emergency/out-of-hours call-out arrangements
What We're Looking For
Experienced Commercial Gas Engineer
Relevant City & Guilds Plumbing qualification or equivalent
Appropriate and current Gas Safe qualifications
Strong experience in reactive repairs and maintenance
Good commercial heating fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
Comfortable using electronic systems to complete job reports
Full UK driving licence essential
