A well-established Bristol business is looking for an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger professional to join their finance team during a period of significant activity and transformation. This is a key role that sits at the heart of the finance function, giving you exposure to senior stakeholders, process improvement projects and large-volume supplier management.You will be joining a collaborative finance team that values ideas, embraces change and empowers people to challenge the status quo.
If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, improving processes and becoming the go-to person within Purchase Ledger, this could be the ideal interim assignment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading day-to-day Purchase Ledger operations across a high-volume environment
- Managing complex supplier accounts and resolving escalated queries
- Taking ownership of payment runs and ensuring accuracy across the ledger
- Supporting month-end activities, reconciliations and reporting requirements
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to improve financial controls and processes
- Investigating historic issues and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency
- Supporting junior members of the finance team where required
- Playing a key role in ongoing finance improvement projects
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience within a Senior Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or Finance Operations position
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced environments
- Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify improvements rather than simply follow processes
- Available to start at short notice
