You will be working for one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure contractors on a major landmark education development in Blackpool. The project forms part of the new Multiversity scheme, a significant regeneration project that will provide modern training and education facilities for the local community.
Your new role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Hoist Operator to join the site team on a long-term freelance contract starting 19th October. The position is expected to run for approximately 40 weeks, providing excellent continuity of work on a large-scale construction project.
Key duties will include:
Safe operation of passenger/material hoists on a busy construction site
Transporting operatives, materials and equipment between floors
Carrying out daily pre-start safety checks
Maintaining accurate records and inspection logs
Reporting defects and safety concerns to site management
Assisting with site logistics and ensuring safe loading
procedures
Adhering to all site health and safety regulations
What you'll need to succeed
Valid CPCS Hoist Operator card or CSCS Hoist Operator qualification/card
Previous experience operating hoists on large construction projects
Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a busy site team
References from recent construction projects
