Your new company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to take a leading role in shaping the future warehousing and fulfilment strategy of a large, complex organisation. This is a high-profile position focused on designing future operating models, improving logistics performance, and delivering long-term operational excellence across warehousing, fulfilment, returns, and inventory services. This is an interim role for 3-6 months with hybrid working, requiring 3 days per week in the office.
Your new role involves leading a strategic review of warehousing and fulfilment operations, assessing current capabilities and defining future operating models that support business growth and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing future warehousing and fulfilment operating models
- Assessing current logistics, fulfilment, staging, returns, and refurbishment activities
- Evaluating internal, outsourced, and hybrid operating solutions
- Building business cases and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Defining operational, technology, security, and service requirements
- Developing implementation, mobilisation, and transition roadmaps
- Working cross-functionally with operational, procurement, finance, technology, and property teams
- Identifying opportunities for immediate operational improvement while supporting long-term strategy
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence major business decisions and shape future logistics capabilities. To be successful, you will have:
- Significant experience within warehousing, fulfilment, logistics strategy, or supply chain transformation
- Strong operating model design, business case development, and strategic planning skills
