Your new school
I am working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham that is committed to providing a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment for every pupil. The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with autism.
Your new role
You will support a pre-verbal Year 2 pupil with autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them to remain safe, regulated and engaged throughout the school day. - Support with intimate care respectfully and in line with school safeguarding procedures.
- Use positive handling strategies when required and in accordance with school policy and training.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.
- Encourage engagement, routine and positive development in a safe learning environment.
