A busy Primary School in North Birmingham is looking for a School Receptionist. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8am - 4.00 pm or 8.30am - 4.30pm. The role is to start as soon as possible.
Your new role
The role is to provide reception cover to a busy school office. The role will entail:
- Providing a professional and efficient 'front of house' reception and switchboard support
- Receiving, signing in and dealing with or directing pupils, parents and other visitors as appropriate.
- Taking telephone calls and delivering messages as appropriate within a timely fashion.
- Receiving and sorting incoming mail and deliveries for distribution to appropriate staff.
- Stamping / franking and posting of outgoing mail.
- Occasional routine Word processing, as and when required.
- Prepare large scale distribution of letter and papers to the parent community.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a high level of communication skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this
