We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a reputable Housing Association covering the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for ongoing work within the social housing sector, with the potential for the contract to be extended or become a permanent position.
Your new role
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of responsive repairs and maintenance across both occupied and void social housing properties. The successful candidate will have a strong all-round maintenance background and be confident working across various trades to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs and maintenance.
- Working within both occupied and void residential properties.
- Completing a variety of trade-related repairs including basic carpentry, plastering, plumbing, decorating and general maintenance tasks.
- Diagnosing faults and undertaking remedial works.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Providing excellent customer service when working within tenants' homes.
- Maintaining accurate records of works completed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance is essential.
- Ideally qualified in a recognised trade (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Strong multi-skilled maintenance background with the ability to undertake a range of repair works.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own van and tools preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
What you'll get in return
