Your new company
You will be working for an established construction consultancy providing commercial, project management and project controls services on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure and development programmes. Renowned for delivering high-quality solutions and building long-term client relationships, the business offers a dynamic and supportive environment where employees are given the opportunity to take ownership of projects and develop their careers.
Your new role
You will be working for a consultancy on the HS2 projects and the associated power works. You will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management, which includes:
- Pre-contract procurement and tender support.
- NEC3/NEC4 contract administration.
- Compensation event management.
- Cost and change control.
- Payment assessment and certification.
- Commercial assurance and governance.
- Risk and opportunity management.
- Cost validation and verification.
- Commercial reporting and forecasting.
- Value engineering.
- Claims management and dispute avoidance.
- Contract close-out and final account settlement.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have power experience, ideally in high voltage. Even though this is for a consultancy, they are open to hiring people with a consultancy or contractor background and have seen great success in doing this. Being degree qualified is an advantage, but it's not essential, but you will have experience working within the power/energy sector.
What you'll get in return
This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the highest value projects in the UK and be responsible for day-to-day commercial management whilst working for a well-recognised consultancy. This opportunity is a 12 month + contract with the opportunity to go permanent if that is of interest.
