MEP Design Manager

Location: Central London / Basingstoke (Remote Working Available)Duration: 3-6 Month Contract (Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)Start

A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to support the delivery of two major projects valued in excess of £50m, including a flagship Higher Education development and a landmark Commercial build.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team at a critical stage, with both schemes progressing from RIBA Stage 4 into Stage 5 (Construction).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage MEP design activities through the construction phase.
  • Review technical submissions and monitor design progress against programme requirements.
  • Drive consultant and subcontractor design deliverables to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Manage design changes, technical queries and RFIs.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Attend project sites as required to collaborate with delivery teams (not required daily).

About You

  • Proven experience managing MEP consultant design within an MEP contractor environment.
  • Strong understanding of design management processes from pre-construction through delivery.
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, education, healthcare, data centre or major infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Able to hit the ground running and provide immediate project support.
