Teaching Assistant Required in Banbury
Hays Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Banbury that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children in a primary school setting who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential. The role may involve working across different year groups, supporting class teachers, delivering small group interventions, and providing 1:1 support where required.
The Role
- Supporting pupils within the classroom to promote learning and engagement
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Working with individuals and small groups to support academic progress
- Providing additional support for pupils with SEND where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a safe learning environment
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence supporting children across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
