A welcoming and supportive primary school in Ashington is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire and motivate pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education, helping them achieve their full potential while preparing them for the transition to secondary school.
The Role
- Full-time Year 6 teaching position
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment
- Plan, assess and monitor pupil progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
- Create a classroom culture that promotes confidence, resilience and a love of learning
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
- Ability to raise attainment and support pupils with varying learning needs
- Passionate, committed and adaptable approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
- Recent and relevant teaching references
