Dedicated Primary SEN Teacher Required - Ashington
A nurturing and inclusive school in Ashington is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start.

The Role
- Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to primary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Develop and implement individualised learning strategies to meet pupils' specific needs
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents and external agencies
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, adapting approaches where necessary
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and pupil engagement
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with pupils with SEND, either within a mainstream or specialist setting
- Strong understanding of a range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
- Recent and relevant teaching references
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
