Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role supporting children with additional needs? Hays Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded special school in Wolverhampton that supports pupils with a range of complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and medical needs. The school is seeking a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people and enjoys working in a supportive, specialist setting.
The Role
- Support pupils both in and out of the classroom
- Assist with learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupil progress
- Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Provide personal care where required
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in schools, care settings, nurseries, or community environments
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
