Hays are currently recruiting for a Domestic Electrician to join the facilities maintenance team at HMP Styal, Wilmslow. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term stability and the chance to secure a permanent role within a well-established maintenance contract.
The Role
Working within a secure prison environment, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the establishment. Key duties include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive electrical repairs
- Fault-finding and diagnostics
- Testing and inspection of electrical systems
- Maintenance of lighting, power and building services
- Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations
- Supporting wider FM maintenance activities where required
Working Pattern
- 39 Hours Per Week
- Temp to Perm Opportunity
- 1 in 3 Weekend Rota
- Stable, Long-Term Role
- Based at HMP Styal, Wilmslow
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience within maintenance or facilities management environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
- Ability to pass prison security clearance
