This school has approached Hays looking to secure a Year 2 on a year-long contract starting in September. The school is rated OFSTED good and has an established senior leadership team who will offer ongoing guidance and support if needed. This Year 2 class has a diverse range of pupils from different backgrounds, with various levels of ability, making this an ideal class for a newly qualified teacher.

In this role, you will be working as the full-time teacher for the Year 2 class, you will have full teaching responsibilities and have the assistance of a teaching assistant whilst planning and delivering the lessons. You will be teaching the students SPAG, reading and maths. You need to ensure that all lessons are fun and interactive, which motivates the children to participate and learn more. You will also be required to mark and assess work as this will be a long-term role. You will want to strive for academic growth for the children in your class and feel confident in tailoring materials to suit the ability and learning style of individual pupils.

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have good knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply for the role. If you are not a qualified teacher, but have recent experience working with children, we may have other roles available for you. Upon application, we will contact you to discuss this further.
